The Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA (S&HCFA) Charter Standard Growth Fund is now available to support the creation of new football teams within our affiliated FA Charter Standard clubs or those with a commitment to achieving the FA accreditation. S&HCFA has a limited number of grants available to support the creation of NEW teams, this funding of up to £750 will be available to those clubs/teams that are successful.  Successful clubs/teams will receive a £500 voucher to be used through our kit providers (Discount Kits). This can be spent on kit and equipment the team require, which may include; a full adult team strip, footballs, first aid kit and water bottles, etc. The remainder of £250 will be sent to a club bank account, which can be used to cover team running costs, such as affiliation to the CFA, league registration fee and pitch hire.

S&HCFA will consider applications for new teams in the following categories ONLY:

  • New youth female teams (under U7s to under 18s)
  • New youth male teams (under 14s to under 21s)
  • New adult male teams
  • New adult female teams
  • New veterans teams
  • New disability teams

  • To attend two Free Club Matter workshops over the duration of the 2017/18 season
  • Is a Charter Standard Club or will achieve accreditation by January 2018  (see attached criteria)
  • Will affiliate this new team with S&HCFA before/by September 1st 2017

Please note that the closing date for the S&HCFA Growth Fund Application is 5.00pm Friday 26th May 2017.  Any applications received after this date will unfortunately not be considered. If the team in question is currently receiving funding through other funding avenues i.e. Grow The Game, you will not be eligible for this funding. Clubs may submit more than one application however as funding is limited only one application per club may be accepted.
