Please find attached a document that Jack Bates (FA Technology Engagement Coordinator) has put together which covers the following areas;

  • Cyber Security Top Ten Tips - A guide to protecting yourself from modern day cyber security threats
  • What is Phishing - A detailed look at what Phishing is, how it can affect you and how to identify it
  • What is Ransomware (and “malware”) - A breakdown of how Ransomware is spread and what it does to an infected computer

This information is for you to do with as you wish. You can distribute it across your staff, leagues and clubs so that they are able to get a better understanding of the sort of threats both the FA and the clubs face. The document has been ‘cleared’ by The FA legal team so you are more than free to pass it onto any of the leagues and clubs in your counties. It is a tool that will give them a “heads up” on what they may face and how to combat some of these issues.

Any questions should be directed to Jack Bates at The FA at: Jack.Bates@thefa.com
